THE state of Queensland occupies the north-western part of Australia and enjoys a warm tropical climate, with warm dry winters and more humid and hotter summers. Its beautiful climate resulted in it being called The Sunshine State. Brisbane is the capital city of this state and is found in the south.

Off Queensland's eastern coastline, scalloped by beautiful sandy beaches, is the Great Barrier Reef - the world's largest coral reef formation. There are also many islands, offering idyllic vacation resort destinations for guests from around the world.
